The X-Men have been a major part of the Marvel Comics universe for decades, and their arrival in the MCU marks a significant milestone in the franchise’s history. Fans are eagerly anticipating the new adventures and crossovers that will come with their arrival. It remains to be seen how the X-Men will be integrated into the MCU, but one thing is for sure: Marvel fans are counting down the days until their favorite X-Men characters come to life on the big screen.
There is speculation about which actors will be cast in the iconic roles of Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, and Professor X. Fans are eager to see how these beloved characters will be reimagined for the big screen, and how they will interact with the established MCU characters.
Many amazing names have been and continue to be tossed around by fans regarding who should play the many key characters from the franchise. Each fan has their own idea of who should join the MCU and who they’d like to see play their favorite characters in the MCU when that time comes.
There is no telling who Marvel might turn to or which characters might be utilized first, but that hasn’t stopped fans from sharing their fan casts — including one digital artist who has gifted us with an incredible look at Jenna Ortega in the role of Rogue!
Inspired by the idea of seeing Jenna Ortega join the MCU in the role of Rogue, digital artist samukarts has delivered a truly stunning piece of concept art that transforms Ortega into the beloved X-Men hero.
Drawing inspiration from X-Men: Evolution, Samukarts did an incredible job of capturing Rogue’s essence while still making the character feel fresh and modern. Jenna Ortega is transformed into the character, with her signature green and black X-Men suit from the animated series, as well as her iconic white streak in her hair.
What’s really stunning is how perfectly Ortega fits the role of Rogue. She has that same tough but vulnerable quality that Rogue is known for, and her features match the character’s in a way that’s almost uncanny. Just one glance at the art and it’s easy to picture her taking on the role of the fierce and powerful mutant!
It’s so exciting to see fan art like this because it gives us a glimpse of what could be possible in the future. If Marvel ever decides to bring Rogue into the MCU, Jenna Ortega would be a perfect choice for the role. She’s got the acting chops, the look, and the attitude to bring this beloved character to life in a way that would make fans everywhere jump for joy.
Is Jenna Ortega joining the MCU?
Technically speaking, Jenna Ortega is already a part of the MCU as the young actress actually made an appearance in Iron Man 3 — just not in a lead role. In the third Iron Man film, Ortega appeared briefly as Vice president Rodriguez young daughter.
Don’t remember the role? Well, that’s understandable as Ortega didn’t have much screen time and only played a minor role but the role still made her a part of the MCU.
While Ortega has appeared in an MCU project before, she had yet to formally join the franchise in a key role though that could change in the near future.
Although Ortega has not commented on the rumors or addressed playing a role in the MCU, rumors suggest she could be joining the MCU via next year’s Daredevil: Born Again. There have been many reports that Ortega could end up playing the Marvel Comics character White Tiger in the series, which would definitely be a treat for fans who have been hoping to see Ortega in the MCU.
Still, if those reports end up being nothing more than rumors, there is no denying Marvel should be keeping an eye on Ortega for the role of Rogue — a role we know she’d deliver an amazing performance in!
