This is an exciting opportunity for Fashion Designers, Creative Artists, Tailors, and all Creative Professionals… to go international and showcase / perform on major fashion weeks in Europe/Asia. The organizers of the event discussed that the platform is dedicated to promote Fashion Designers in Ghana alongside Models. The new competition is tagged: DESIGN / BUILD COMPETITION for Fashion Designers during the grand Finale of Africa’s most prestigious modeling contest (Ghana’s Next Super Model – Season 2).
Last year it was a successful competition for models which attracted a lot of fashion designers which eventually resulted in taking the winner to international fashion. The organizers claimed that the activity weeks gave them a lot of recognition and connections around the world to present new and creative possibilities for Ghana. The team came together this year with some international allies who seek to turn these ideas into a reality through GNSM DESIGN AND BUILD COMPETITION. This competition seeks the talents of a designer or design team to create a low cost, innovative and ready-to-wear outfits that can be sold in retail stores through stocking to generate revenue for the designers instead of just showcasing and not making sales.
Interested Designers/ Design team is required to make first contact via instagram or whatsapp +233 24 578 7996, and include a short bio for individual / design team members, pages of work samples, work samples should demonstrate an entrant’s ability to be artistic and innovative.
WHO CAN ENTER
The competition is open to Fashion Designers, Artists tailors and all creative professionals. Designers can work individually or collaboratively in teams, with the requirement that at least one team member is located in Ghana.
