There’s no red like a Chanel red. The color is significant to the fashion house’s founder, Gabrielle Chanel, who wore red lips as a signature beauty look and launched red lipstick in her first makeup collection back in 1924. Now, Chanel beauty and fragrance is paying homage to the color in a New York City pop-up called Le Rouge.
Like designer pop-ups before it, you can expect an interactive space totally decked out in photo-ready decor. From December 7 to 23 at 5 East 57th Street, the boutique will be adorned in red and offering curated beauty products—including the iconic Chanel N°5 fragrance in a collectible all-red bottle—gift wrapping, and special events like consultations with renowned Chanel makeup artists Kate Lee, Fulvia Farolfi, Cyndle K. and Tyron Machausen. The best part? The pop-up is free and open to the public.
The actual store is under wraps, for now, but we have an exclusive peek at what Le Rouge will look like in this rendering:
The pop-up will also have limited-edition goods to gawk at, including a 30.4 fl oz N°5 perfume bottle—that’s 10 times bigger than the original size—made of Baccarat glass. There are only 55 of them available in the world and, yes, it will be for sale if you happen to have $30,000 to spare (the rest of us will settle for pictures).
The hours will be from 11AM to 7PM. Get your ‘grams ready.
